A small group of Franciscan friars lived in a very old friary on the outskirts of town. These friars were very poor, in fact, they were so poor that they were in danger of losing their land. So they put their heads together in order to figure out a way to earn some money. The friars looked around their friary and noticed all of the beautiful wildflowers which grew on their property. So they decided to set up a floral business. Their prices were very low and soon their business was booming. Business was so good that the other florists in town became jealous. It seems that the Franciscans were taking business away from them. Therefore, the town florists banded together and decided to hire Hugh O'Malley, the biggest thug in town, to "convince" the Franciscans to close down their business. Hugh went and visited the friary, and the Franciscans, being peace-loving servants of Christ, agreed to leave the floral business after only a little bit of convincing. Shortly thereafter, the florists made a generous donation to the Franciscans, and the friars used the gift to beging making and selling fruitcakes. So all ended well. And the moral of the story: only Hugh can stop florist friars.
