From Boston:
Follow Route 1 north to the exit for Route 128 north (towards Gloucester).
Follow Route 128 north to Exit 15. Turn left onto School Street
(becomes Southern Avenue in Essex) and follow it 3.0 miles. At the
end of Southern Avenue, turn left onto Main Street (Route 133) and
follow it for 0.5 miles through the center of Essex. Bear right
staying on Route 133 west and continue for 2.5 miles. Turn right
onto Northgate Road at the sign for "Castle Hill / Crane Beach."
At the end of Northgate Road, bear right onto Argilla Road. Follow
Argilla Road for 1.9 miles. Proceed just past the bend in the road,
and turn left into the main entrance to Castle Hill.
From Points West via the Massachusetts
Turnpike (I-90):
Follow the Massachusetts Turnpike east to Exit 14; Routes 95 and
128. After the tolls, stay to your left and follow the signs for
Route 95 North to Portsmouth. You will merge onto Route 95/128 north.
When the roads split, follow the signs for Route 128 to Gloucester.
Continue north on Route 128 to Exit 15. Turn left onto School Street
(becomes Southern Avenue in Essex) and follow it 3.0 miles. At the
end of Southern Avenue, turn left onto Main Street (Route 133) and
follow it for 0.5 miles through the center of Essex. Bear right
staying on Route 133 west and continue for 2.5 miles. Turn right
onto Northgate Road at the sign for "Castle Hill / Crane Beach."
At the end of Northgate Road, bear right onto Argilla Road. Follow
Argilla Road for 1.9 miles. Proceed just past the bend in the road,
and turn left into the main entrance to Castle Hill.
From Points North via I-95:
Follow I-95 south to Exit 54 (Route 133 to Georgetown / Rowley).
Bear left onto Route 133 east towards Rowley. Follow Route 133 east
3.0 miles to the first light. Go straight through the light and
continue east on Route 133 for 1.5 miles. At the stop sign, turn
right onto Routes 1A south/133 east towards Ipswich and Gloucester,
and follow 3.9 miles. In Ipswich, where the routes split, bear left
continuing on Route 133 east towards Essex. Follow Route 133 east
1.9 miles and turn left onto Northgate Road at the sign for "Castle
Hill / Crane Beach." At the end of Northgate Road, bear right
onto Argilla Road. Follow Argilla Road for 1.9 miles. Proceed just
past the bend in the road, and turn left into the main entrance
to Castle Hill.
From Logan Airport:
Follow signs for the Mass Pike (I-90). Take I-90 (west) to the central
artery and follow signs for 93 north. Take 93 north to 95 (128)
north. Follow 95 (128) north and stay on 128 north at exit 45 where
95 diverges. Follow Route 128 north to Exit 15. Turn left onto School
Street (becomes Southern Avenue in Essex) and follow it 3.0 miles.
At the end of Southern Avenue, turn left onto Main Street (Route
133) and follow it for 0.5 miles through the center of Essex. Bear
right staying on Route 133 west and continue for 2.5 miles. Turn
right onto Northgate Road at the sign for "Castle Hill / Crane
Beach." At the end of Northgate Road, bear right onto Argilla
Road. Follow Argilla Road for 1.9 miles. Proceed just past the bend
in the road, and turn left into the main entrance to Castle Hill.
From South Station:
Start out going north on ATLANTIC AVE toward EAST ST. Turn left
onto ESSEX ST.
Turn right onto SOUTH ST. Take the I-93 N/EXPRESSWAY NORTH/RT-3
N ramp.
Merge onto CENTRAL ARTERY/FITZGERALD EXWY. CENTRAL ARTERY/FITZGERALD
EXWY becomes US-1 N. Merge onto I-95 N toward N.H./MAINE. Follow
Route 128 north to Exit 15. Turn left onto School Street (becomes
Southern Avenue in Essex) and follow it 3.0 miles. At the end of
Southern Avenue, turn left onto Main Street (Route 133) and follow
it for 0.5 miles through the center of Essex. Bear right staying
