(Thesis: Wildlife problems, human attitudes, and response to wildlife in the Syracuse, New York metropolitan area.)

I am the Course and Laboratory Coordinator for our introductory biology courses "Bio II: Evolution of Life ," and "Bio III: Cellular Basis of Life." I am also a Health Professions Advisor (as a member of the Health Professions Advisory Committee), and a member of the Coordinating Committee for the Environmental Sciences Program. My main academic interests are:

  1. Teaching strategies for biology; specifically laboratory curriculum development, and introductory biology education
  2. Wildlife ecology and behavior in urban and suburban habitats
  3. Habitat use and monitoring of mammal populations (particularly at the Trinity College Field Station)
  4. Human dimensions in wildlife management
